Fiber Installation – What you need to know

What is the minimum requirement?
For a fiber socket to be installed in your apartment, the fiber cables must already be laid to your house. The property management usually has all the necessary information on whether the expansion has already been carried out or is planned.
Availability check
Before we can start the installation, an availability check is required. This will show if fiber is already available at your address. If so, the installation process can begin.

What can I do if fiber is not available?
If fiber is not yet available at your address, you could ask the property management if an expansion is planned. Additionally, a request can be submitted to Swisscom for expansion.

What do we take care of?
We handle the installation of the fiber socket directly in your apartment. This is done free of charge and carried out by either Swisscom or Cablex. To ensure everything runs smoothly, it is important that the fiber cables are already laid up to the house. During the order, simply select "I would like a free installation of a fiber socket".
Note Please check carefully if an OTO socket is already installed in your apartment. These usually start with A, B, or O. If you request a new OTO socket during the order, and it turns out that one is already installed, the service provider will charge a cancellation fee of CHF 100.- to CHF 150.-.

Switch from DSL to fiber
If you are currently using DSL and would like to switch to fiber, you can easily do so in the customer cockpit or contact us. We will check if fiber is available at your address and initiate the necessary steps for the switch.
